___ ____ _____ PopCast
Hey last week we hung out for a bit in New York before we did the Cro Mags show. A few of us got invited to record a podcast for a big news paper. Now, I can't print the name of the paper here, but their front-line news coverage over the last hundred-plus years, along with their concise and cutting cultural commentary has earned them a reputation as one of the more important papers in the world. Since we had just flown the red eye (kind of) from LA and I had immediately gone to the studio to mix Year of the Tiger over night (we snuck in on Sleigh Bells who are doing their full length there right now during the day) I managed to miss my alarm and sleep through the interview (just kidding, I missed my alarm because Smurfs Grabber push notifications fucked up my alarm setting overnight). Anyhow, Damian and Jonah made it to the offices of this hallowed paper in time to do this popcast that I haven't listened to because I'm at the cottage right now and the only way to check email or to make blogcasts is by coming in to town and hanging out at the library like a grifter). ENJOY.

Also, I feel there are definitely some bands on dischord at the time who were alot better than fugazi but never got near the amount of recognition.

Sure there were other great bands on dischord that time (Jawbox and Nation of Ulysses directly come to mind) but attention is something you have to demand, not deserve.
And rapmusic does suck, there are a few exceptions, but in general it sucks Rock's assjuice.
