Last Night

Hey, thanks to everyone who came out and made last night a success. It was a new type of event for us and the vibe felt very warm and exciting, the exact type of vibes artisanal musicians like ourselves crave.  Just kidding, but it was still sick and we're looking forward to exhaustively programming the next three for the rest of the winter. Just kidding.

Lots of great and interesting things happened all at once last night. Besides cool sets by Castle If, Cell Memory, Unfinished Business (who did a negative approach cover and also were hitting gongs with a flaming mallet), Onno, a collabo set from Wyrd Visions and Black Walls, Diana and I guess ourselves (twice) there was a crank calling machine installed into an old timey British phone booth that played calls over the PA system, a petition that floated around warning of the dangers of government regulation of personal ESP communication, a key chandelier, installation work by Melissa Fisher, a collection of Damians, a fist fight (that we didn't plan), faux "pho" for snacks, a weird tetrohedron (or something) microphone/camera, a tape relay between stages and lots of other wacky shit.

On that note - if you do anything remotely cool on an artistic level, thrive on creative warm cozy vibes in a live setting, are are looking to showcase your exclusive talents, do not hesitate to get in touch with a synopsis of what you do and what type of person you are.  We are always on the look for people to help curate and perform dance, music, installations, food and all that good stuff. We would love to hear from you at IANEND@HOTMAIL>COM
Here is a video of "Faked Up", who did a Fucked Up set in the small room while we played in the big room:

Here is a great set of photos by Exclaim and here is an article our friend Erin did for blogto.com.

Of course, with Long Winter 1 in the bag, it's time for us to almost immediately bounce - we will be

Long Winter

Guys Long Winter is tommorow!
Hope you all can make it, if you live here. Show up early and grab a program made by our great interns Tara, Roxana and Mick:
"I know winter. We all know winter. This season is part of all of us. Winter takes over our life for the next few months. The temperature is quickly lowering and dusk arrives sooner every eve. Now we must begin layering our clothes and prepare for the long winter. The Long Winter series is spanning the entire winter season (Nov.-Feb.) and we want to get people involved. Send us your stories about the winter and we might print it in the program for the next Long Winter event (Dec.14) at the Great Hall. So, start writing. Tell stories of the coldest months of your youth, of last year, or of something that hasn't even happened yet. Tales of adventuring through the snow, sipping warm beverages, discovering the wonders of the world, and general good cheer. Or of winters of discontent, if you prefer. Just something about your longest winter. Send your story, poem or whatever to us at t.o.longwinter.writing@gmail.com" -Mick Brambilla
