I guess there's no way of saying this without offending Damian who seems to be a nice guy but after listening to davids town i just feel like i want to say this: what about re-recording a bunch of your material with other vocalists? Damians voice works on a few tracks imo but it's just not expressive enough, lacks in range and gets pretty grating quite fast, at least for me (and a lot of other people i'm quite sure). it's a bit of a shame to me that some of the greatest guitar based songs of the 00's haven't reached their full potential because of this. just mah two cents.

The core sound of Fucked Up is defined by Damian's radio unfriendly voice set against an otherwise accessible combination of multiple guitars and super tight rhythm section.
He also brings some unity to a diverse catalogue of music.
David's Town doesn't sound like Fucked Up, it sounds like several different bands, which of course it's meant too. If Damian was on the songs they'd sound like Fucked Up.
Actually, if Damian was on the David's Town songs, they'd sound like Fucked Up doing covers.

yeah there are a couple or records where his vocals dont quiiite seem to fit (dangerous fumes IMO, the instrumental version of that song is way better), but when they do it's incredible

I think 100000 marbles is the true decendant of Billy Corgan and that Damian would be so lucky to even lick his shadow. There must be a decent vocalist skulking around in the Torontian underground that can unfuck the sound a little bit more to my liking.
These newly released tracks (from the forthcoming album) are absolutely amazing. You guys were already one of my favourite bands but you're becoming favouriter with every new release. I can't wait for the album!
If you were to unfuck the vocals then the band would have to change it's name to 'Slightly Impaired'.
