A lot of David Xmas 7"'s are on ebay. Just for the record - if you are selling one of those, we think you are a DOUCHE. We had to spend more than 2 weeks wrapping those things and getting everything together so you assholes could click a button and flip them the next week. Fuck you!
Also there is a "tour version" of the Year of the Pig 12" on ebay right now - there is no such thing as a tour version - they are all stamped. If you are trying to buy Fucked Up stuff on ebay and want to know how rare it is really, please get in touch through here and we can set the record straight.
The Young Governor is a new addition to the project. His other band is called Marvelous Darlings, and here you can find some info about what they do. In a few days I will do one about $100, another affiliated band.

I sort of agree with Anonymous. I own the record but didn't open it knowing that I would be entitled to sell it for a lot more money when the Fucked Up arc reaches its nexus because of the limited nature of it. (That and the fact that I got the one song from y'all and the skit off Soulseek.)
That's not to say I will sell it, but that I know if I choose to that I should command a greater sum than other records I may part with.
I was happy to buy it in support of the cause, but once a consumable is consumed, so to speak, that's that.
If you want this record to stand up as art as opposed to being just another product that I and the other plebs cram down our money holes then I think Anonymous is right. Make thousands of them so as to reduce the demand.

according to some ebay seller, david xmas has 300 copies with blank labels, and 700 stamped. true?
If it's any consolation to you, Fucked Up, I got mine in the mail today, unwrapped the bastard, enjoyed it, and have no desire to sell it unless I have to, like, put a kid through college 20 years from now or some equally fucktarded real life thing.

Where would the money come from to make the amount of records that wouldnt be considered limited? A Tree? Hidden World Records $100,000 advance? Winning The Amazing Race? I'm lost here.
The band clearly pressed it themselves, and put a lot of extra work into it to make it worth the 10$ that all went to a charity. They're allowed to FUCK YOU ebayers this time!

yeah i agree with anonymous' first post...i tried in vain to get a copy through rough trade in the UK as soon as a saw it was available, but it was obviously gone straight away. releasing limited records is always gonna result in them coming up on ebay...in this case, it would surely make sense just to repress the record. if 5000 copies were pressed then everyone would have been happy, including the cause for which is was initially made. i want one of these records, and i guess the only was for me to get one is shell out on ebay. believe me, i would much rather give the money to the band/cahrity...
